Dilfer Station is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and is also a low-population vacuum environment with a population less than 10,000 sophonts in population size, warranting hazardous environment precautions.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Dilfer Station has a solitary primary star.

  • It is a white main sequence.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Dilfer Station is an asteroid belt mainworld.

Asteroid Belt 01.jpg

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Dilfer Station is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

None of the bodies within the Dilfer Station belt retain an atmosphere.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

The Dilfer Station belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.

  • Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
  • Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (St)[edit]

Dilfer Station has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Dilfer Station has a population of 20 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Dilfer Station possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Dilfer Station has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Law (L)[edit]

Dilfer Station has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Dilfer Station, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
